Some people just know you. I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in awhile. This was waiting for me in the mail today. Jamie sent this to me, I love her for it. It’s the Best of Prince CD. Not many people know this, but I LOVE Prince. Love him! His old school stuff is my fave. Me and my daddy used to listen to it in the truck all the time when I was little. Rasberry Beret is my favorite Prince song. The card said, “to listen to while you are packing”, I’ve been rockin’ out and dancing around the boxes in our living room this afternoon. I have such good friends.

My official first post on my new blog. How exciting.
Craig has two more days left in the Army. When I asked him last night how he felt about it he equated it to going to Disneyworld or marrying me all over again. I guess marrying me is also as exciting as going to Disneyworld. I really am so happy for him. And so proud for him. He’s worked so hard these last six years. He’s served his time for his country and now he’s taking a huge change in direction. Still trying to figure out which direction that will be, but getting out of the Army no matter what you do is a huge change of lifestyle.
He signed up with the Reserves at Fort Gillem. He has a two year stabilization period there and it is also a training unit. They train units who are deploying. So they themselves are not deployed. And he was promoted to an instructor slot they had open. It’s all registered in the computer he just needs to report after his ETS date, which is the 28th. One weekend a month, two week training period, extra income a year, still have some of the perks of active Army (for trav, and an almost sure way of not having to go back to Iraq. There really wasn’t anything to keep us from making this decision.
I start my job on Tuesday if all the paperwork gets sorted before then through HR. I can’t wait. I’m really looking forward to working again. It may only last for a little while, but right now…I’m ready.
I better get back to packing. We’re moving this weekend and right now our apartment is a mess!
