Craig didn’t have to work this weekend and we spent good quality time together. Which is always nice. We raked leaves all day Sunday. Saturday we met Brian and Chastity for dinner after going to the Gladiators game. And we spent some time with Sadie, which is always fun. The picture above is a picture I took of Craig blowing leaves in our backyard. We were burning them and the light was coming through the smoke perfect! Until I ran in to get my camera of course.
I’m soooooooooooo anxious to start planting flowers. Our house needs curb appeal, for real. Last night Craig and I ran up to Home Depot to look around and I went crazy picking out seeds. Originally I started out with flowers and then I worked my way over to vegetables. When I mentioned planting a garden with some veggies, Craig busted out laughing. And I can’t figure out why.
A bunch of Craig’s friends are on their way to Iraq again. On one hand, I feel so grateful that we are not doing it again. But on the other, I worry about them. There is one guy in particular who Craig is like a big brother too. He’s a crazy kid who is NEVER in a bad mood, and would do anything he could to help Craig out. I just hope they stay safe.
Greg, Ashley, Briley, and Dolce are coming to stay with us in a couple weeks. We’re excited! But there is tons to do to get ready for them. We spent tonight painting our dining room table and bathroom doors.
This weather makes me so happy! I love it! I love coming home and putting my shorts on and playing outside until the sun goes down. Love it.

Yeah, we’re just this cool.
We like to give Sadie new looks with her hair and then take pictures of her.
These are her spiked ‘do and her old man hair part ‘do.

Yeah that’s about all I have to update on. She’s pretty fabulous. And she tolerates us so well.

Mom and I went and spent the afternoon with Grandmother. I took a few pictures of her in front of her house. It’s so strange to see it for sale.
Sadie pushed her book off the chair on the floor and lost her place in it.
Her bookmark was an Alieve sample.
So as she is finding the place in her book again, Mom says that she needs to make a mental note that she needs bookmarks.
Grandmother says, “Oh, I have plenty. But they are all religious and I just don’t feel right about using them for that book.” (It was a murder mystery.)
I laughed so hard. She cracks me up. It’s stories like those that make me really really glad I have a blog where I am writing things down in. I gotta have a place to write those stories down.

Craig has drill this weekend. Boo. But I loved the sound of his truck pulling up in the driveway.
